Pricing

Pricing of cakes is determined taking into account a number of factors including:

•  Degree of difficulty of the design
•  Additional items added to the cake (eg. flowers, fresh berries, figurines)

CAKES TO SUIT A BUDGET…

If you have a budget that you would like to stick to then please mention this so that we can assist in finding a cake that will match your budget.

Transportation & Storage

In most cases a single tier cake can be safely transported by placing it on a flat surface in your vehicle.  The cake will be boxed in a box that is, where available, the same size as the base board of the cake to prevent the cake from shifting within the box and damaging the sides of the cake.

Small multi tiered cakes are usually boxed and transported as one piece, where the tiers are stacked on top of one another.

Larger multi-tiered cakes are sometimes transported as separate pieces, where tiers are separated by pillars and assembled at the venue. We also do many cakes that are all one piece so no construction is necessary for your cake.

Cakes with cake toppers or fragile ornaments should not be transported with the ornaments on top of the cake.  Ornaments should be safely packaged in a separate box and attached to the cake when it is set up at the venue.

CAN FANTASY CAKES DELIVER MY CAKE?

Yes, cakes can be delivered.  The cost to deliver a cake is based upon the distance to be traveled from the Fantasy Cakes showroom to the delivery destination.  Please note that the minimum delivery fee is $30.

Serving Sizes

Whether it be a wedding cake, engagement cake, birthday cake or a novelty cake, in most cases the cake can be made in a size to suit the number of guests you have.

Where a cake cannot be made larger you can have a cutting cake made for the kitchen to supplement the number of serves you require.  This is an economical way of making up the number of serves as this cake does not need to be decorated as no one will see it.

Please note that whilst we are able to offer artificial cakes, pricing is based on decorative elements, and so usually works out to be the same price as actual cake, as well as cutting cakes.

Ordering Information

We generally require 7 – 10 days notice but depending on work load, some orders can be fulfilled in less time.

Orders are only placed when Fantasy Cakes has received a deposit. A 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking.  No work on the order will be commenced until such time as a deposit has been paid.

Orders made by telephone or via email can be paid via credit card or bank transfer.  If paying by bank transfer work will not commence on your order until you have completed the bank transfer and we are able to confirm that payment, which can take 2 – 3 days.  If you are paying by credit card, work on your order will commence once your credit card has been processed.

Final payment upon collection of the cake/s from the Fantasy Cakes shop can be made by debit card, credit card or cash.  We do not accept cheques, money orders or provide credit terms.

Privacy

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

Fantasy Cakes will not disclose any personal information such as your name, address, email, telephone number to any person outside of the company, unless the customer has authorised us to do so or unless required by law to disclose such information.  Furthermore, under no circumstances will Fantasy Cakes sell or receive payments or services for disclosing customers’ personal information to any partner or external company.

COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION

Fantasy Cakes collects personal data for the purpose of providing a specific product or service requested by the customer.  Certain information may be required in order to provide this product or service, such as full name of customer and address, e-mail address, name and address for delivery, contact phone numbers and credit card number.

The information collected may also be used to inform the customer of additional products and services, which may be of interest to them.  All marketing material sent to the customer will include an option for the customer to request removal from mailing or contact lists for any future marketing.

Delivery & Returns

You will be given the choice to either collect the goods in person from Fantasy Cakes or to have your cake delivered at a further cost.

DELIVERIES

The cost to deliver a cake is based upon the distance to be traveled from the Fantasy Cakes showroom to the delivery destination.  Please note that the minimum delivery fee is $30 and that deliveries to the CBD and Docklands are more expensive due to traffic congestion and a lack of parking.

DELIVERIES – MONDAY TO SATURDAY – (EXCLUDING PUBLIC HOLIDAYS)

At Fantasy Cakes we offer a Metropolitan Melbourne delivery service to MOST business addresses by 5pm and MOST residential addresses by 6pm.  Should a specific time delivery outside these parameters (e.g. 2pm delivery) be required, the order will be sent on a priority service and additional charges will apply.

GENERALLY, your order must be placed by 10:00am seven days prior to the required date for delivery.  NOTE: Conditions may apply as our ability to deliver depends on the distance of your delivery destination and our work load.

SUNDAYS AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

Deliveries are available under certain circumstances.  Additional charges will apply.

In the highly unlikely event that your order is not received, please contact us as soon as possible so we can investigate your order.

If in advent you have given us a wrong address or if the recipient is not at the delivery address you have provided on the given day for agreed delivery, we will be unable to leave the cake due to the perishable nature of the goods.  In such cases the driver will return the goods to Fantasy Cakes and one of our staff will contact you for further instructions.  Additional costs will be incurred on further delivery instructions to those originally agreed.

PICK UPS

Cakes may be picked up during opening hours or at a mutually agreed upon time.  Additional charges may be incurred for the pick up of cakes outside of the above detailed time frames.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

As each cake is unique, so too, are your special requirements and concerns surrounding your order.  If you have found that for any reason the cake you ordered did not meet your expectations then please contact us via telephone or email.  A number of resolutions may be available to you and are subject to your particular situation. Please check your cake before leaving the store so you and the staff are happy with the finished work

If there is an issue with your order please note that you must refrigerate or freeze the cake immediately and return it to us on the next business day if we are to consider a refund.

Terms & Conditions

DEPOSIT

A 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking.  No order will be commenced until such time as a deposit has been paid.

BALANCE DUE

Balance of payment is due 7 days prior to delivery, unless full payment has been received goods will not be shipped/delivered.  If you are collecting your order, full payment is due upon collection.  We do not accept payment by cheque or money order.

CONFIRMATION OF ORDERS

Upon receipt of your order you will be emailed a copy of your invoice.  Please ensure all contact details, personal information, spelling of names, delivery/collection dates and times and any requested changes have been properly documented on your invoice.

CANCELLATIONS

If you cancel your order your deposit will not be refunded. Please note that any credit notes issued are done so as a good will gesture and at the discretion of management.

CHANGES

Any changes made to your order within 14 days of collection or delivery will incur a surcharge, depending on the change requested. In most cases we can accommodate changes, however at times it is not possible. We will however endeavour to accommodate you to the best of our ability. by proceeding with the purchase you are in agreement with the terms and conditions.

QUALITY

At Fantasy Cakes we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and services.  It is important to remember that cakes are a perishable and delicate product.  Unfortunately once we dispatch our cakes or our customers take possession of them, a number of factors relating to the care and transportation of the cakes may result in the quality being compromised or damage occurring to the cakes that are beyond our control or responsibility.

Care instructions must be followed thoroughly in order to avoid compromising the cakes quality. Care instructions are given for each cake and the staff will always answer any questions. once the cake has left our premises the care and responsibility is with the customer.

Photos of the cakes

Unfortunately, we do not text or email cake pictures to customers before the work is finished. Cakes are better viewed in real life on pick up or on delivery. This is at Fantasy Cakes discretion.

VARIATIONS FROM PICTURED ITEMS

In some cases it may be necessary to change a colour or vary a product from the picture on our site as certain cake decorating items may from time to time be unavailable.

REFUNDS

As each cake is unique, so too, are your special requirements and concerns surrounding your order.  If you have found that for any reason the cake you ordered did not meet your expectations then please contact us via emergency mobile number 0431220626  or email  immediately. If there are any problems with the cake you purchased you will need to return the cake to Fantasy cakes shop within 3 business days for investigation  A number of resolutions may be available to you and are subject to your particular situation.    At this point we will try to rectify the issue and advise you of the next steps. If you notice any problems with your cake after pick up or delivery, and you believe it is the fault of Fantasy Cakes, you will need to bring back the cake within the 3 day period. Please consult the staff on how to store the cake without the cake being returned in this period the staff are unable to offer any refunds of credit notes.
